Time Back

Some times we look back,
We see the trials and triumphs.
The nostalgia is neither good nor bad.
It’s alright to smile and remember,
To recognize and reconcile
That which we didn’t know
We thought.
Now we stand back,
Standing straight,
Don’t slouch,
It’s okay you can cry.
Just remember, don’t live in the past.
See through teary eyes,
The future is what you decide,
Not family or friends,
Not minister or teacher.
Not even who you think is your enemy;
You’re either that or your own best friend.
Don’t be afraid, don’t rush to this or that,
Time is on your side, while the world rushes by forgetting itself in the vastness
Of its own insignificance.
